Facebook User Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of data associated with Facebook Login in CalorieQuest. It is intended to serve as the Facebook User Data Deletion Instructions URL for the CalorieQuest Facebook app configuration.
What Facebook data CalorieQuest may receive
If you choose Facebook Login, CalorieQuest may receive basic account details made available by Facebook, such as your Facebook-linked name, email address, profile photo, and provider identifier. These details are used to create, secure, or link your CalorieQuest account.
Option 1: Delete your CalorieQuest account in the app
The most complete way to delete your CalorieQuest data is to delete your account from inside the CalorieQuest app:
- Open CalorieQuest and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
This is designed to delete your CalorieQuest account and app data associated with that account, including data connected through Facebook Login, unless retention is required or permitted by law.
Option 2: Remove CalorieQuest from your Facebook account
You can also remove CalorieQuest from Facebook's connected apps list:
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy.
- Select Settings.
- Open Apps and websites.
- Find CalorieQuest.
- Select Remove.
This removes CalorieQuest's Facebook app connection from your Facebook account. If you also want your CalorieQuest account data deleted, use Option 1 or Option 3.
Option 3: Email a deletion request
If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with the subject line "Facebook Data Deletion Request".
Please include enough information for us to identify the account:
- the email address used for CalorieQuest;
- whether you signed in with Facebook, Google, Apple, or email;
- a short statement that you want your CalorieQuest account data deleted.
What happens after a request
We will review the request and delete or de-identify eligible account data associated with CalorieQuest. Some records may be retained if required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or accounting purposes.
